Ski the extreme powder and terrain of Silverton Mountain
Silverton Mountain is a new advanced, guided ski and snowboard facility for the hard-core enthusiast. The base elevation is 10,400 feet and the chairlift peaks at 12,300 feet.
Skiers are guided in groups of eight or less, skiing four to five runs a day, amounting to 8,000 to 12,000 vertical feet of wild rides. By the winter of 2005/2006, they plan to have unguided skiing as well.

Backcountry skiing blends the excitement of downhill skiing with the physical challenges and rewards of backcountry winter travel. The Red Mountain Pass area, in particular, hosts an abundance of different tours for a variety of different skiing abilities.
