Weehawken Creative Arts is excited to offer “Have Fun and Improve Your Vitality: Winter Element” with instructor Sheila Manzagol. Anyone interested in personal wellness and herbs, this fun and hands-on beginners course is for you. The element wheel in Traditional Chinese Medicine has so much to teach us about our health, ourselves, and our place in nature. Herbalist Sheila Manzagol will lead students in an exploration of the five elements, with this weekend class covering the Winter Element of Water.  “Winter is the Season of Introspection. In addition to learning aspects of the Water Element we will also explore the basic function of the kidneys and urinary bladder, and students will create 2 personalized herbal formulas to take home to support kidney and urinary bladder function,” says Sheila.
In each two-day class, students will learn about the element and its associated season, sounds, emotions, colors, personalities, tastes, herbs and organs. Students will create two personalized herbal formulas in each class based on the organ systems associated with the season. They will also study the associated Neurolymphatics and Neurovasculars and learn simple Brain Gym movements to support wellness and vitality.

Sheila Manzagol is the founder of Shining Mountain Herbs, a nationally respected organic herbal products company. She has a year-round private practice at Rocky Mountain Integrative Medicine where she is an herbalist and kinesiology specialist, helping clients through herbal formulations, Brain Gym and Touch for Health.
