The holiday season is bright in Ouray County this year. The town tree lights up the corner of Main Street and 7th, in front of Colorado West Jeep Tours, joyfully decorated and complimenting the festive lights all along Main Street in the evening.

This weekend, December 16, 2016, The Brickhouse 737 is hosting an Ugly Sweater Dance!

With DJ Funko Deluxe spinning his diverse sound, drink specials and rainbows of knitted eye candy, this is sure to be one of the funnest events of the season!

The Brickhouse 737 has filled a niche in Ouray with excellent food and evening entertainment. The building is beautifully designed with an intimate feel, the restaurant on the main level providing decadent dining options, and the upper level surprises guests as they find a large dance floor complete with DJ booth just down the hall from the cozy little bar.

All through the season, restaurants and shops on Main Street are offering specials, from winter menus to discounts on merchandise you won’t find anywhere else. High Country Leathers is holding a 20% off sale for the month of December, and that is just one of many shops filled with exciting gift ideas!

Ouray is an excellent place to escape for a day or two, or more! Peaceful and beautiful, there is so much more than shopping! Take a day to explore the back country on skis or snow shoes. Skate in the ice rink at Rotary Park, or sled Vinegar Hill. The Ouray Ice Park has officially released its opening day as well; This Saturday, December 17, 2016! Once the winter adventures for the day are complete, warm yourself with a soothing soak in one of our all natural hot spring tubs before wandering up to Main Street for a meal you won’t soon forget.

Happy Holidays, See you Soon!
